My Mom had two older brothers and two younger brothers. My Dad is one of five brothers. A competitive spirit and a passion for sports was inevitable.
Now living in San Jose, becoming a Sharks Fan was destined. Kind of like Carrie and Big finally getting married but with a lot less drama. However last years early exit from the playoffs made me feel like a bride with a full church left at the alter.
After numerous games and practices, I began to take note: there were a lot of other women digging it. It wasn't just about the cute single RW and who was his current girlfriend. They knew the players plus/minus rating, how many shorthanded goals he's scored, and the team, rank and year of his NHL Entry Draft. These were my kind of people!
In January 2009, I was introduced to Leslie Silvey (aka Hockey Mom VA). She shared with me her background, love for hockey and her blog. She encouraged me to do the same thing in San Jose.
So what's taken so long?!?!?
Let's just say I've been looking for the right shoes to go with this outfit!
